The Global MBA/MSc programme is a double degree offered by Xavier University in India and Emlyon Business School in France, preparing you to be an international manager in this agile age of globalisation. The only differentiation between the two programmes is that while the Global MBA programme is meant for students with three or more years of experience, the Global MBA/MSc programme is for students with students with less than three years work experience. The intensive full-time two year degree programme is focused on helping you reach your professional goals through quality education, hands-on experience and international exposure. Through an emphasis on an entrepreneurial mindset, action learning projects and international diversity both in the student body and faculty, you will develop the skills needed to achieve your own individual success.

While enjoying a truly dynamic learning experience, you will remain in touch with the business world through the worldwide professional and alumni network. You will spend the first year of the programme at XAVIER-EMLYON Business School located in the campus of Xavier University in Bhubaneswar, India, an internationally recognised University dedicated to enabling people to live extraordinary lives and be light for the world. At XAVIER-EMLYON Business School you will work through the core courses that will cover fundamental topics and provide you with the necessary building blocks that you must master to be a successful manager.

The second year will be held at Emlyon Business School in Lyon, France. Emlyon is a business school recognised for preparing its students for a successful career through action-based learning, exposure to companies and guest speaks and through helping them develop an entrepreneurial mindset, a skill that is necessary to be successful in today’s turbulent international business environment. You will join the MBA programme which is globally ranked and giving you the chance to experience studying in a European environment. At Emlyon Business School you will be introduced to European business models, hands-on experience through projects and regular conferences led by international speakers, entrepreneurs alumni and careers coaches. From theoretical knowledge to hands-on experience, you will gain skills and experiences that will prepare you for your next step and to realise your goals.

You can take your career to the next level and benefit from a double degree from two highly esteemed global business institutions, courses that will allow you to gain cross-functional knowledge necessary to be a successful manager or entrepreneur, a clear understanding of Asian and European business models through in-class interaction, group projects and company presentations and a global and active alumni network.

As this is a postgraduate program, you must already be a university graduate or in your final year awaiting the final results can apply. A candidate applying to this program must have at least 50% or equivalent in aggregate in graduation from a recognized University in India or abroad. As mentioned earlier by me, applicants with more than 3 years of relevant work experience will be considered for the Global MBA track while those with less than three years work experience would be considered for the Global MBA/MSc track where in the second year the student instead of undertaking the International MBA programme at Emlyon Business School, would instead study the Master in Management (MIM) programme of Emlyon Business School and graduate with the double degree. For the applicants a valid score in anyone of CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE or TAGE MAGE would be applicable. Candidates who do not have an English medium educational background would be required to submit their English proficiency scores during application (TOEIC or TOEFL or IELTS or Cambridge CPE or PTE). The admissions team will shortlist applications based on past academic performance, aptitude test scores, work experience, extracurricular activities and other achievements. Partial scholarships would be provided for early birds and meritorious students.

This is poised to become one of the best global management programmes of the country and I would advise the students to take this programme and school very seriously. With the legacy of both Emlyon Business School and Xavier University as well as the robust curriculum, it does not leave any room for doubt as far as the excellence of the programme is concerned. Truly, this is an international programme and the students must make the best effort in this regard.
